Getting expert tree trimming shouldn’t be stressful. Here’s how we make it easy from your call to the final cleanup.
After you reach out, we’ll schedule a time for a 100% free visit with one of our Certified Arborists to walk your property. We ask that the homeowner or decision-maker be there, too, so we can answer questions, understand your goals, and make sure everyone’s aligned from the start.
Meet On-Site with a Certified Arborist
You’ll receive a detailed proposal by email shortly after the visit. It outlines exactly what we recommend, why it’s needed, and how we plan to do it, written in plain language- not contractor jargon.

“Green Vista Tree Care was just outstanding. We had a huge dying tree between our neighbor’s home and ours. I was very concerned as to how it would be taken down without damaging either house. Green Vista Tree Care in a very methodically safe way took it down using a team effort and two cranes. It was fascinating to see it done. The team was just so professional from start to finish.”
Phil Klein
"From day one, I’ve poured everything into this company. Our team shows up every day with grit, heart, and an unshakable commitment to doing right by our clients and our community."
Daniel Foster, Owner
How much does tree trimming cost?
Pricing depends on the size, type, and location of your tree, as well as how complex the job is. Smaller ornamental trees can be pretty quick and budget-friendly. Large, mature trees that need climbing or equipment like bucket trucks will cost more. That’s why we always do free, on-site estimates – so you know exactly what it’ll take. We’ll walk the property with you, explain what your trees need, and give you a clear, upfront quote with no surprises.
What is the difference between tree trimming and pruning?
In everyday conversation, we use “trimming” and “pruning” interchangeably – but behind the scenes, pruning is typically more health-focused, while trimming often refers to shaping for aesthetics or clearance. Either way, the goal is the same: to remove what’s necessary to keep your trees safe, healthy, and looking great. Whether we’re clearing out deadwood, improving structure, or making sure your tree isn’t scraping the roof, our certified arborists will use the right techniques to get it done properly.
How often should I trim my trees?
It depends on the type of tree and where it’s growing. Most mature trees should be trimmed every 3 to 5 years. Fast-growing trees or ones near your house or power lines might need it every 2 to 3 years. Young trees usually need more frequent trimming to help them grow with a strong structure. Fruit trees and some ornamentals may need yearly care. During your free consultation, we’ll take a look and let you know what makes the most sense for your trees and your yard.
Can you trim trees near my home or fence safely?
Yes, absolutely – we do this kind of work all the time. Trimming trees near homes, fences, or other structures takes skill, the right equipment, and a trained crew. We use precise rigging, climbing gear, and equipment like bucket trucks and protective mats to control every cut and prevent damage. Safety is always our top priority – for both your property and our team.
Do you haul away the trimmed branches?
We do. Cleanup is part of every job, and we take it seriously. All trimmed branches, logs, and wood chips are removed and recycled through local forestry centers. If you'd like to keep some wood chips for mulch or firewood, just let us know – we're happy to accommodate. But if you want it all gone, we’ll leave the site clean and clear, and no extra effort is required on your part.
Is trimming necessary for young trees?
Yes, early trimming (or what we call structural pruning) is one of the smartest things you can do for a young tree. It helps guide growth, encourages strong branch structure, and prevents long-term issues, like splitting or poor form. A little attention in the early years saves a lot of trouble (and money) later. We recommend having young trees evaluated regularly to make sure they’re on the right track.
"Daniel and his team were unbelievably responsive and communicative and worked with me to trim my trees in a timely manner and sent me photos for confirmation despite being out of the area. He and his team did a great job!"
